Maria Elena
María Elena is a mother and wife, native of the San Cristóbal province but has lived in Santo Domingo for a long time. She learned about the cooperative while taking classes with Ney, one of the group leaders. The co-op is a place where she has learned much and experiences greater closeness to God.
María Elena spends most of her time as a housewife and is deeply grateful for the support she receives through Mission Emanuel. Although she was unable to complete school, she hopes that her son can finish it and have the opportunity to attend college. Through her profits from the co-op, she hopes to make this dream of supporting her child’s education true.
